I have around 4,000 + fanfiction ebooks saved on my computer, and while I already have two ereaders capable of holding all of them, (the Kindle Fire and Nook 1st Gen,) neither of them make it easy to keep track of all of the stories on there. A few revisions/updates ago Calibre added the ability to tweak epubs. So this means I can explode the epub, edit the css stylesheet/html code and then rebuild the epub. In the past when I had tried to edit epub files I'd have to use Sigil (which I never quite got used to) or I'd unzip the epub and muck about with the contents and then I never could ( Read more... )

I created this tutorial for a school project. It's how I create the LRF/Mobi/Epub formatted ebooks for the Ebook Library. The tutorial mostly mentions epub however what works for epub will also work for the other formats. Epub is the format with many weird exceptions and the css has to be more exact.

I'm giving a lot of thought to discontinuing LRF as a format that the Ebook Library would host. I've been noticing some problems. Since I learned how to use Macros in Microsoft Word 2007 I've been slowly but surely creating LRF/Mobi/and epub versions of my absolute favorite stories hosted at the Ebook Library as well as most of the stories posted recently.
